Use the consultant's drawing. Copper plate earthing can suit conventional systems where the material, burial arrangement and conductor route are already coordinated with soil conditions and the required earth duty.
Which joint needs the closest look?
Watch every metal change. A copper plate connected through an improvised galvanized clamp can create a brittle corrosion point, so the transition method and inspection access need to be agreed before burial.

What size copper earthing plate does 3E supply?
The current source documents do not set one universal size. Send the drawing, thickness and quantity so the offered plate can be checked.
Is a copper plate the same as a copper-bonded rod?
No. One is a conventional plate electrode, the other is a steel rod with a bonded copper surface and a different installation method.
Does copper remove the need for earth testing?
No. Material choice cannot establish the installed resistance by itself, so the completed pit still needs measurement and an accessible connection.
